Jörg Wojahn was appointed Head of the European Commission Representation in Austria in September 2015. Prior to that, he was a counsellor for trade affairs in the GCC at the Delegation of the European Union to the Gulf States in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. From 2004 to 2009, Mr Wojahn was the spokesperson for OLAF, the European Anti-Fraud Office, in Brussels. As a journalist for the Austrian daily newspaper Der Standard he reported until 2002 from Vienna on foreign affairs, and later as a correspondent on EU and NATO issues from Brussels. Jörg Wojahn studied at the universities of Passau, Santiago de Compostela and Kiel. He holds a doctorate in law.
